Zina Hedgecough

BAXTER-Funeral services for Mr. Zina Hedgecough, age 91 will be held Friday, August 20th at 1:00 p.m. in the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Bro. Gary Norton will officiate. His family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Baxter chapel. Mr. Hedgecough died surrounded by family Tuesday evening, August 17, 2021 at his residence. He served his country as a member of the US Army. He was employed at McCords and was owner of Automation Tooling (now Automation Tool). He was a farmer throughout his life. He attended Lilly's Chapel Church. He was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his great grandson Joey. He was born August 14, 1930 in Baxter to the late Orb and Eunice Allison Hedgecough. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Dianna Lynn Hedgecough; sisters, Joan Williams and Eva Lois Calvert and by brother, John 'Allen' Hedgecough Mr. Hedgecough is survived by his wife of 70 years, Geraldine Moss Hedgecough; daughter, Tracy Herron of Algood; grandson, Brian and wife Rebecca Huddleston of Baxter; granddaughter, Shauntay and husband Eric Johnson of Murfreesboro; special great grandson, Joseph 'Joey' Huddleston; and by great grandchildren, Eban Johnson, Asanti Baird and Lornzo Johnson. Ron Whitefield, Don Fults, Lonnie Julian, Gary Moss, Charles Maxwell and Junior Sherill will serve as pallbearers.
