COOKEVILLE _ Funeral services for William (Robert) Johnson, 87, of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson died Sunday, April 27, 2008, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Jackson County to the late Bob and Betty Jackson Johnson. He was a retired factory worker with Dixie Plating Company. His family includes a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Beverly Johnson of Cookeville; two grandchildren, Shannon and Scott Johnson, both of Bloomington Springs; and five great-grandchildren, Trent, Alana, Rylee and Brooke Johnson and Collin Pigg, all of Bloomington Springs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Guess Johnson; a brother, Jesse Johnson; a sister, Rose Frick; and a great-grandchild, Cameron Johnson. Bro. Sterl Paramore will officiate at the services.
