Wilfred Medley

Graveside services and interment with military honors for Mr. Wilfred Medley, 86 of Arlington, VA and formerly of Silver Point will be held Saturday, June 17 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon CDT) at Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin, Tennessee. His nephews, Gary and Jonathan Medley will officiate. His family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Mr. Medley died Wednesday June 14, 2017 in Capital Caring-Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center in Arlington. He was born Friday February 20, 1931 in Dekalb County, Tennessee to the late Willie Howard and Delma Watts Medley. Mr. Medley was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea as an Officer of Special Investigation. He retired from New York Life Insurance Company with the distinction of having the longest active career as an agent with 58 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris McKinney Medley; brother and sister-in-law, J. C. and Kerrin Medley and nephew, Cody Medley. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Reba Jo Medley of Baxter; nephews, Gary (Amy) Medley, Roger Medley, and David (Mitzi) Medley; great-nieces and nephews, Kristin (Jeremy) Tomes, Jonathan (Jenna) Medley, Cynthia (Travis) Tate, Jackson Medley, Ashlyn Medley, David Medley, Jr., Jeff (Jennifer) Matthews and Jason (Erika) Matthews; great-great nieces and nephews, Addie, Camryn, and Deyahn Tomes, Avery, Tucker and Ellie Medley, Cody, Connor, Calen, and Chase Matthews, Morgan Medley.
