Wendell Wilder

Funeral services for Mr. Wendell Wayne Wilder, age 58 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday July 17 at 5 p.m. at Engrafted Word Church with Pastor Chris McMichael officiating. Graveside services and interment, with military honors, will be Monday July 18 at 10 a.m. at Cookeville City Cemetery. Wendell's family will receive friends Sunday from 3 p.m. until service time at the church. Wendell died suddenly Thursday July 14, 2016 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 18, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia to Paul Daniel Wilder of Carrollton, GA and the late Judith Rose Hendrickson Wilder. Wendell was an Electronic Technician in the Manufacturing Field and a U. S. Navy Veteran. Wendell has been an active member of the Engrafted Word Church since 1984 serving on the Praise and Worship Team. Survivors in addition to his father include his wife of 39 years, Virginia Ann Johnson Wilder (whom he married December 23, 1976 in Memphis, TN); son, Noah Wilder; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Michael Dingwall, grandchild, Kiley Wilder all of Cookeville; sister, Rhonda Henderson of Corbin, KY; and two brothers, Danny (Teresa) Wilder of Pineville, KY and Jay and Dreama Wilder of Ironton, OH.
