Wayne Hargis

Wayne Hargis, age 73, of Cookeville, TN, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024, at Standing Stone Healthcare and Rehab in Monterey. Born on August 5, 1951 in Putnam County. Wayne was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and adored grandfather whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Hargis, of Cookeville; his son, Derek Hargis, of Cookeville; his daughter, LeAnn Bouldin (Mike) of Quebeck, TN; and his sister, Glenda Palk, of Cookeville. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Blake and Ashley Phillips, Chelsey and Tyler Seiber, Jacob, Tori, and Nicholas Bouldin, Sophia and Toby Hargis, and Addie Jackson; and his great-grandchildren, Luke, Hunter, Kelly Ann, Addi, Ava and Waylon.

Wayne was a master in the construction field, providing strong foundations for both buildings and relationships. His later years were joyfully spent on the farm, guiding and working side by side with his grandson. Wayne's memory will be fondly remembered for his skilled hands, big heart, and unwavering presence in the lives of those he loved.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
