Warren Caille

Mr. Warren William Caille passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the age in Grand of 102 years. He was born in Irvington, New Jersey on March 11, 1921 to William and Martha Caille. He graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, N.J. and was attending Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J. when he was called into military service. He attended "weather school" in Grand Rapids, Michigan and later was assigned to Stewart Field in New York as a bombardier instructor. After completing his military service and earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers, he taught in the Livingston New Jersey School system as an 7th/8th grade math/science teacher. He married a Seymour, Indiana girl he met during his military service named Pauline Neiman. They raised three children whom survive him: Marcia C. Brugh, Biloxi, MS, Richard Caille, White House, TN and Charlene (Paul) Canaris, Waco, TX. He also has 2 surviving grandchildren, Daniel (Adelaida) Canaris of Dallas, TX and Sheryl (Michael) Gandy of Temple, TX.

He retired to Cookeville, TN in 1978 and attended Heavenly Host Luthern Church. He is preceded in by his wife of 62 years in 2009. In 2011 he found companionship with Jenny Pearlstein and spent many hours traveling and playing Bingo and Pinochle at the Cookeville Senior Citizens Center. He was preceded in death by Jenny in 2021 and his sister, Dorothy Schantz in 2008. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was in the process of relocating to Biloxi, MS when his health issues became overwhelming. Funeral services will be held at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church, Cookeville, TN on April 5, 2023 at 11am. Friends may visit from 10:30 - 11am. Burial will be at the Nashville National Cemetery the following week.
