Wanda Davanzo

Graveside services for Mrs. Wanda Davanzo, age 85 of Algood, TN, will be held Saturday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Cookeville City Cemetery. Rev. Drew Shelley will officiate. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the cemetery. She died Thursday June 8, 2017 at her residence. She was born May 1, 1932 in Hilham, TN to the late Charlie W. and Ora Dean Ward Masters. Wanda worked as a Registered Nurse after obtaining her degree from Wayne State University. She was employed at Christ Hospital in Oaklawn, IL for many years and also lived in Texas and Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Arthur Davanzo and her companion of 39 years, Richard Sapinski. She is survived by Richard Sapinski's daughters, Sheila Schaefer and husband Rich of Chicago, IL; Sheryl Crozier and husband Scott from Channahon, IL; and Suzanne Fox and husband Frank of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania; and also by numerous cousins.
