Vivian Magnolia Sliger

COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Vivian Magnolia Sliger, 73, of Baxter, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sep. 5, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Allison Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Sliger died Wednesday, Sep. 3, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. S he was born March 4, 1935, in Henegar, AL to the late Elvies Bethune and Sylbe Brooks. Mrs. Sliger was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Her family includes her three daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Gary Stephens of Chickamauga, GA, Marilyn and Joel McDonald of McDonough, GA Loretta and Junior Briggs of Cookeville, her son and Daughter-in-law Stephen and Trina Sliger of Cookeville. Her sister and brother-in-law, Betty andPaul Shinebraum. three brothers and sisters-in-law; Darwyn Bethune, Don Bethune, Larry andSherry Bethune.Five Grandchildren and their spouses: Tabetha and Jamey Collette, Melissa Ann and Mitch Anderson, Timothy and Mandy Timmons, Lily Sliger, and Stephen Sliger II. Five Great Grandchildren: Bailey, Macie and Blake Anderson: Timothy James and Brenlee Collette. In addition to her parents Mrs. Sliger was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Lee Sliger, her brother, Arvies Bethune, her sister Joyce Pantone, and her son, Richard Sliger.
