Virginia Poston

Funeral services for Mildred Virginia Poston, age 84 of Algood, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday November 12 at Algood Family Event Center. Bro. David Price will officiate. Interment will follow at Algood City Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time.

Virginia passed away November 7, 2022 at Signature Health Care Center.

She was born June 2, 1938 in Overton County, TN to the late Paskell and Roberta Odell Gore Curtis.

Virginia was of the Baptist faith. She loved gardening and caring for her cats. She was a talented painter, ceramic artist, and quilter.

She is survived by her sisters, Frances Price of Algood and Marcella Ann Hawkins of Cookeville; aunt, Birdie Jackson of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Glen Poston; son, Michael Glen Poston; sister, Betty Jo Hall; and infant sister, Betty Marie Curtis.
