Virginia "Ginny" Anderson

Virginia “Ginny” Anderson, 95, formerly of Cookeville, TN, passed away June 3, 2022 in Alexandria, Virginia, where she had been residing at the Paul Spring Retirement Community. Her husband, Robert “Bob” F. Anderson, with whom she traveled the world and shared 70 years of wedded bliss, preceded her in death in 2019. She had a wonderful, wicked sense of humor and leaves many friends, three daughters -- Ann (Mike) Duff, Jane Anderson and Bobbi (Joel) Bromley; 4 grandchildren: Weston Rice, Henry Rice, Ben (Christy) Bromley and Sarah (Kemper) Brand and 2 great-grandchildren, and her brother Ben (June) Ward. Proud to be a Registered Nurse, she worked in Kansas City, Arlington, VA, and Hinsdale, IL and was well-known as the camp nurse at Camp Country Lad in Monterey, TN for many years. Active at the First Presbyterian Church of Cookeville, an avid bridge player and a volunteer at the Mammogram Center of the Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Ginny will be missed by all lucky enough to have known her.
