Virgil Guinn

Funeral services for Mr. Virgil “Boot’s” Guinn age 80, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday July 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. until the time of the service in the Chapel with burial following in the Odd Fellow Cemetery. Mr. Guinn passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his home. He was born August 21, 1933 in Putnam County to the late Larmon Guinn and Mary Upchurch Guinn. “Boots” is survived by two daughters; Patricia Guinn and Mary Jane Hamby, both of Cookeville. He is also survived by a brother, Winell Guinn, five grandchildren; Stephen Rinehart, Randy Moore, Mandy Hamlet, Chasity Habert, and Josh Moore/ as well as nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Guinn, a daughter; Billie Moore, three sisters; Thelma Finn, Pearlie Spanogle, and Geraldine Calhoun, as well as two brothers; Frank and Van Guinn. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
