Vinetta Farley

Funeral services for Vinetta May Farley, age 88 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, July 26th at 3pm from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper- Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Wilmoth will officiate. Interment will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 4pm to 7pm and again Sunday from 1pm until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Farley died Friday morning, July 24, 2015 at Signature HealthCARE of Putnam County in Algood. She was born May 22, 1927 in Putnam County to the late Bedford and Anna Davidson Chaffin. She worked at Cookeville Shirt Factory and was a long time member of Double Springs Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Jesse Farley; son in law, Mike Phillips; and by numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Ron Farley; daughter, Judy Phillips; grandchildren, Amy (Tyler) Fisk, Jimmy Phillips, Nichole Lamm and Brandon Farley; great grandchildren, Madison Lamm, Megan Lamm and Sophia Farley; sister, Janie Crawford of Livingston; sisters in law Hazel Chaffin and Mamie Chaffin; and by several nieces and nepews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Vinetta's family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Signature HealthCARE for the excellent care given to their loved one.
