Vickie Boggs

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Vivian Jewell Boggs, affectionately known as Vickie, passed away in Cookeville, Tennessee, on November 27, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on November 8, 1952, in Paintsville, Kentucky, Vickie lived a life defined by love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

In her early years, Vickie showcased a strong work ethic, beginning her career in factories before shifting her focus to cleaning houses in 1986. It was through this work that she touched the lives of many, bringing joy to homes with her vibrant personality. Those who knew her well would describe her as a pistol; she had an extraordinary ability to evoke laughter and tears in equal measure. Vickie was nothing short of tough and amazing, always facing challenges head-on.

Family was the cornerstone of Vickie’s life. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 52 years, Ronald "Ronnie" Boggs. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. Vickie's heart was immeasurably full when it came to her family, and her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her grandchildren. She cherished her time with them, showering them with love and ensuring they felt her unwavering support.

Vickie leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Kevin Dale Loftis, who were fortunate to have her guidance and love throughout their lives. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Kelsey McClain, Houston Loftis, Grant Boggs, and Ryan Boggs, as well as her great-grandchildren, Lily, Abby, and Marshall McClain. Each of them carries with them a piece of her spirit, her laughter, and her strong values.

Vickie's family also includes her brother, Ernest Eugene O'Bryan, who shared in her life's journey and witnessed the profound impact she had on those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Evelyn Conley O'Bryan; her son, Anthony Gordon Boggs; her grandson, Parker Boggs; and her sisters, Deborah G. Boggs, Brenda Gail, and Brenda Joyce. Though they are no longer with us, Vickie’s love for them remains a cherished part of her story.
