Una Holt

Funeral services for Una Vee Holt, age 88 of Algood, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday December 23 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Frieze will officiate. Interment will follow at Arlington of Tennessee Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Holt passed away Saturday December 18, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 31, 1933 in the Buffalo Community of Oneida, TN to the late Henry and Mae Duncan Owens. Mrs. Holt was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She formerly worked at GTE in Oneida and Crossville, and later worked at LBJ&C Head Start in Cookeville. She loved music and especially enjoyed playing the piano. She is survived by her son, Lloyd Holt; granddaughter, Chelsea (Justin) Beria; great grandchildren, Evan, Landon, and Callen Beria, all of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Holt; son, Gary Holt; brothers, William, Earl, Marion, Auburn and Vonda Owens; sisters, Hila Burchfield, Versa Bell Henderton, Vena Branam, and Jana V. Mitchell. The Holt family express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for the care and compassion rendered to Mrs. Holt during her stay there.
