Tony Lamberson

Graveside services and interment with military honors for Mr. Tony Anthony Lamberson, age 64 of Athens, TN and formerly of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Algood Heritage Cemetery. Bro. Eddie Thompson will officiate. His family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the cemetery. Mr. Lamberson died Friday September 11, 2020 at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born May 28, 1956 in Cookeville, TN to the late Jerry Lancaster and Joyce Lamberson Stewart. Tony proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved country music, enjoyed singing and playing the harmonica. He was pleasant to be around and enjoying joking around with friends and family. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Gillian League and Cleva Thomas. Mr. Lamberson is survived by sisters, Vivian Brown and husband Greg of Smyrna, TN and Tammy Bumphus and husband Chris of Savannah, TN; brother, Shawn Lamberson and wife Emily of Cookeville; brother-in-law, Donald League; aunt, Marion Prigmore; uncle, Rodney Lamberson; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
