Tom Thurman Weaver

Graveside Funeral Services for Tom Thurman Weaver, age 91, of Cookeville, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Cookeville City Cemetery, with burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Mr. Weaver died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro TN. He was born August 21, 1919 in Sparta TN to the late Charlie Weaver and Katherine Welch Weaver. Tom was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He was a self employed carpenter for many years and farmed in White County. His family includes a sister, Jane Weaver Smith of Dundee MI, fourteen nieces and nephews, and two second cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Jesse Weaver, Herman Weaver, Clayton Weaver and Clennie Weaver. Mr. Weaver is also preceded by one sister, Ruby Lambert. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Bro. Roger Cooper will officiate at the services.
