Funeral services for Mr. Terry Kenneth Johnson, 69, of Cookeville will be held Monday, July 16 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Chip Pennington and BobFloyd officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 5 pm to 8 pm and Monday 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson died Friday morning, July 13, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1943 in Bradley County, TN to the late Joseph Washington and Reba Marie Lemons Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Talon Alexander Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and a retired mechanic with Norwalk Furniture of Cookeville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member and past commander of the Veterans Honor Guard; and had and a member of VFW Monterey Post 6277. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Nancy Wallace Johnson of Cookeville (whom he married January 31, 1990 in Cookeville); two sons T.K. Johnson, Jr. and Chris Johnson both of Cleveland, TN; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen and Robert Crick of Cumming, GA and Traci and Michael Hammond of Cleveland, TN; step-daughter Michelle Banther of Cleveland, Tn.,brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Marjorie Johnson and a sister and brother-in-law, Jaylene and P.D. Ingle all of Cleveland, TN., six grandchildren: Sydney Johnson, Bryce Hammond, Caragan Cabrara, Kailyn Johnson, Rachel Crick and Jonah Crick, 2 step-grandchildren: Brandon Banther and Jake Dockins. The family wishes to express a special "THANK YOU"� to Dr. Staggs and all the employees on East Wing at Cookeville Regional Medical Center and all the prayers during Terry"�s sickness and passing Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
