COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Terence D. “Ted” McQuiston, 80, of Cookeville, will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, from Messenger’s Fountain Hills Mortuary in Fountain Hills, AZ.. Burial will be in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. The family will receive friends from 8-9 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, at Messenger’s Fountain Hills Mortuary in Fountain Hills, AZ. Mr. McQuiston died Sunday, August 24, 2008, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 13, 1927, in LaPorte, IN to the late Clayton David McQuiston and Mildred Hanley McQuiston. Mr. McQuiston was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He also served the United States in the United States Army and the United States Navy. Mr. McQuiston was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks and the V.F.W. His family includes a stepdaughter Cindi Champion, three sisters and a brother-in-law Hazel Starmer, Mary Helen and Bob Garner, and Lura McQuiston. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marian “Miki” Comerfield McQuiston, and two brothers William Wedge McQuiston and Melvin McQuiston.
