Tammi Hill

Funeral services for Miss Tammi Ruth Hill, age 47 of Cookeville will be held Wednesday August 13 at 1 p.m.in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Paul Wilmoth and Kerry Duke will officiate. Tammi died suddenly Sunday evening August 10 2014 in the Emergency Room at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1967 in Atlanta, GA to Mrs. Billie Ruth Bilyeu Hill of Cookeville and the late Malcolm Lansden Hill. She was a member of Northeast Church of Christ. Tammi worked for a number of years in retail sales, and in recent years, she worked as a substitute teacher at Cookeville High School. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Lisa Hill of Cookeville and Victor and Tonya Hill of Livingston; nieces and nephews, Mallory (Jonathan) Huddleston, Pate Hill, Tyler Hill, and Lane Hill; and special friend and kidney donor, LeAnn Duke. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. Tammi's family extends their sincere thanks to Dr. Lee Ray Crowe; the nurses and staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center and Vanderbilt Medical Center.
