Funeral services for Mr Talmadge Earl Clack, age 88, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday May 12 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro Bob Pharris and Bro Frank Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. Mr. Clack passed away Wednesday evening May 9, 2018 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. He was born December 11, 1929 in Owensboro, KY to the late Arter Jewell and Bertha Mae Johnson Clack. Mr. Clack was a veteran of the US Army. He was retired from the Ford Glass plant in Nashville with over 30 years of service and a member of the UAW local 737. Mr. Clack formerly lived in Joelton, TN. He volunteered in the construction of the Joelton-McDowell Community Park. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, V.R and Jewell Clack; and an infant sister, Gloria Dean Clack. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Bettie Sue McBroom Clack, whom he married December 17, 1988 in Pigeon Forge, TN; four sons, Jerry (Diana) Clack of Springfield, TN, Tony (Cindy) Clack of Cincinnati, OH, Kenneth (Beth) Matheney of Cookeville, Bill (Judy) Matheney of Hixon, TN; two daughters, Nancy Rocket (Jimmy Hamilton) of Birmingham, AL, and Susan (Tim) Melton of Cookeville; two sisters-in-law, Violet Clack of Cookeville, Mildred Clack of San Diego, CA; 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Daniel Clack, Kyler Reeder, Joey Cowan, Joe Maxadon, David, BJ, Josh, and Zach Matheney will serve as pallbearers.
