Steven Roy Sigman

Steven Roy Sigman, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away August 22, 2024.

The son of Edwin Sigman and Ann Sosebee Bartlett, Steven grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born May 10, 1958, and attended Frayser High School.

At the age of 17, Steve enlisted in the United States Air Force. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Master Sergeant. With a military career spanning over three decades, Steve proudly served in numerous countries and operations.

His memory will forever be held in the hearts of his surviving family: his wife, Ginger Sigman, his children Stephen Sigman, Tristin Davis, Jennifer Alexander, Apryl Sigman, Sarah Decker, and Nichole Tubbs; and his siblings Eddie Sigman, Kaye Maher, Sandy Bourgeois. Steve’s legacy will also be carried on by his adored grandchildren and great-grandson. Each of them will remember their grandfather for his boundless energy and animated story telling.

Surrounded by his family in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment he spent with his loved ones.

A service celebrating the life of Steve will be held at 12:00 PM on September 16, 2024, at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. The Family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM until service hour. Burial will follow at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Collierville, Tennessee.
