Stephen Sliger

Funeral services for Mr. Stephen Lee Sliger, age 58, of the Crawford community in Overton County, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 27 at Horner Funeral Home in Monterey with Kevin Phillips and Tony Huddleston officiating. Interment will follow in the family farm at Honey Springs in Overton County. Mr. Sliger went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, September 23, 2016. He was born February 16, 1958 in Sparta, TN to the late Hugh Lee and Vivian Bethune Sliger. He loved his Lord and Savior fiercely and his family was everything to him. He attended Mineral Springs Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of S & T Farm, a brilliant musician that loved to share that God given talent with everyone. He was always there to help anyone who needed it. He was a hard worker that never stopped moving and was always busy with something. He is survived by his wife, Trina Wood Sliger, who he married November 4, 1999 in Fayetteville, GA; his daughter, Lily Sliger and sons Stevie Sliger and Hugh Sliger; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Gary Stephens of Chickamauga, GA, Marilyn and Joel McDonald of McDonough, GA, Loretta and Junior Briggs of Cookeville; and many friends that he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard Sliger and paternal grandmother, Minnie D. Sliger. Gary Copley, Jonathan Reed, Ray Hammonds, Rick McNeil, Kenny Phillips Anthony Murphy, and Dana Reams will serve as pallbearers.
