Sherry Gosnell

DYER CHAPEL-Sherry Helen Gosnell, beloved caregiver and cherished family member, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in her hometown of Cookeville, Tennessee. Born on September 18, 1966, Sherry was a nurturing spirit from an early age, demonstrating a profound commitment to caring for her family and others throughout her life.

Sherry was the daughter of Lawrence Edward and Joey Helen Conner Mansell, whom she mourned alongside her late sister, Angie Burton, and late niece, Krista Wade Davis. The love and teachings instilled by her parents shaped Sherry into a compassionate woman, dedicated to making a positive impact on those around her.

In her professional life, Sherry took on the role of a caregiver, dedicating herself to the well-being of others with grace and tireless devotion. Her ability to nurture went far beyond her work; she was known for her warmth, kindness, and the genuine connections she fostered with everyone she encountered.

Sherry is survived by her son, Nicholas Gosnell, who continues to carry forward her legacy of compassion. She is also survived by her brother, Terry Mansell, and her nieces, Carmen Hayes, Tisia Keaton, Elizabeth Davis Simpson, and Jade Alexis Mansell, each of whom will remember her fondly and cherish the memories they created together.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.

Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but Sherry’s spirit and the love she shared will remain a guiding light for her family and friends. As they mourn her loss, they also celebrate the beautiful life she led, one filled with love, care, and selflessness.
