Sharon Jane Hawlik

DYER CHAPEL-Sharon Jane Hawlik, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 6, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, where she was raised and attended school, laying the foundation for a life filled with rich experiences and meaningful connections.

Sharon’s passion for antiques led her to create a beloved antique store, where she proudly shared her extensive collection and showcased her talent for finding hidden treasures. For 20 years, she not only sold antiques but her favorite part of being a shop owner was the friendships and bonds that were created. Before the antique shop, Sharon was a proud homemaker and a vital part of her and Steve's business, Cherry Creek Electric.

Sharon had a personality that could light up a room. She was a giver - a giver of gifts, love, and advice. A strong-willed woman, she stood as a pillar of strength for her family and friends. An animal lover at heart, she found joy in caring for her furry friends.

Her greatest pride and joy were her beloved grandchildren, Xander, Chloe, Michael, and Gwen, all of which held a special place in her heart. As a devoted mother to her daughter Sarah (John Trusa) Hawlik and her son Jeremy Hawlik, she instilled in them values of compassion and determination, values they will carry forward. Sharon shared a loving companionship with her husband Steve Hawlik, a partnership that spanned 56 years.

She is also survived by her loving family, including her brother, Jim Clouse, and her cherished niece and nephew, Debbie (Bill) Chasse' and Bob Clouse. While Sharon’s parents, T.J. Clouse and Lema Whitson Clouse, and her sister-in-law, Carole Eileen Clouse, have preceded her in death, their love and legacy continue to resonate throughout her family.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff, doctors, and nurses at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for the excellent care and comfort provided to Sharon during her final days.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Both events will be held at Dyer Chapel located at 798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501.  Interment will follow at Stone Seminary Cemetery.  Bill Randolph will officiate.
