Shane Henley

Funeral services for Ronnie Shane Henley, 46 of Cookeville, will be held Monday, July 29 at 10 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Huddleston will officiate and interment will follow in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Shane's family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Shane died Thursday July 25, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born September 15, 1966 to Ronnie Henley and Donna Lafever Turner. Shane has been with the Cookeville Office of Social Security Administration for the last 14 years. He was well known in the community and served as an active volunteer many years for the Epilepsy Foundation and as a board member for the Vocational Rehabilitation Center. Shane was a prize winning photographer and a member of the Cookeville Camera Club. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Orby and Ezma Lafever and paternal grandparents Everett and Flossie Henley. Shane was an exceptional son, husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Miranda Henley (whom he married October 11, 2008 in Cookeville); daughter Landry Grace Henley; mother and step-father, Donna and Pete Turner of Melbourne Beach, FL; father and step-mother, Ronnie and Brenda Henley of Cookeville; sister, Suzanne (Tim) Jones of Cookeville; niece, Avery Jones and nephews, Aidan Jones and Bret Jones. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
