Funeral services for Mrs. Saundra Kay Ford, 54 of Cookeville will be held Sunday January 29 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery in Monterey. Rev. Shannon Copeland will officiate. Mrs. Ford died Thursday afternoon January 26, 2012 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 15, 1957 in Monterey to the late George Edgar "Groundhog"� and Clora Edna Cooper Maxwell. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Care Focus Health Care until her illness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Youngblood and Kathy Maxwell; and her brother, Bill Maxwell. Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Ted Ford; three sons, Lee Ford, Jacob Ford, and Ben Owens; two daughters, Bridgett Owens and Brandi Keith all of Cookeville; three brothers, James Maxwell of Dayton, OH, Arles and Claude Maxwell both of Monterey; two sisters, Barbara Hood and Nita Horn both of Cookeville; and two grandchildren, Brienna and Brody Owens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
