Celebration of Life Service for Sarah Marie DelBene, 25 of Cookeville, will be Wednesday, December 22 at 2 PM at the Edge facility on the Life Church Campus, 2223 North Washington Avenue, Cookeville, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until service time at the church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Sarah died Thursday, December 2, 2021 in Athens, Georgia. She was born August 6, 1996 in Cookeville to Erik and Elisabeth "Betsy" Smith DelBene of Cookeville. Sarah was a 2014 graduate of Cookeville High School; a 2018 graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a BM in Music Performance; and a 2020 graduate of Baylor University with a MM in Music. Sarah was working on her PhD in Music Performance with a minor in Music Education at the University of Georgia - Hugh Hodgson School of Music for Performing Arts. She was a member at Stevens Street Baptist Church in Cookeville and attended First Baptist Church while in Athens, GA. She was a professional music teacher and taught privately. She had a passion for life that included her love of God, her family, music, the pursuit of knowledge, being outdoors, cooking, her family's farm and everything cats. Survivors in addition to her parents include, brothers, Ryan Richard DelBene and partner Jenna Runge (Lucas DelBene) of Lakewood, WI, Parker Joseph DelBene and wife Destiny of Cookeville; fiancé, Samuel Connor Dent of Clinton, MI; grandparents: Joanne DelBene of Seattle, WA, and Diane Osgood of Cookeville. Sarah was preceded in death by grandparents: John Joseph DelBene, William H. Smith and Cora Jane Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music, 250 River Road, Athens, GA 30602.
