Sandra Elaine Bos

Sandra Elaine Bos, a remarkable soul and known for her creativity and kindness, passed from this life on May 8, 2024, at her residence in Cookeville, TN at the age of 81.

Born in Holland, MI, on June 16, 1942, she lived a life enriched by art and the love of family.

Sandra's legacy as an artist and painter was matched by her passion for teaching, inspiring many with her gentle guidance and innovative techniques. Her artwork, often said to be a window into her soul, will continue to touch lives as treasured pieces in the homes and hearts of those she knew and taught.

She leaves behind her adoring family; daughter, Chris (Mike) Corbett; sons, Doug (Gloria) Bos, Chuck Bos, David Bos, and Jim (Sarah) Bos all of Cookeville, daughter in law Brenda Bos; brother Mick Zuverink and sister Carol (Norm) Umpstead; grandchildren, Daniel Bos, Michael Peace, Stephanie Davis, Lauryn Johnson, Tom Bos, Jr, Heather Swingler, Benjamin Bos, Nicole Bos, David Bos, Jr, Jessica Bos, and Monica Powers; and 22 great-grandchildren, who were the cornerstone of her life. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Gardena DeVrise Zuverink; her husband, Charles Bos, Sr; son, Tom Bos, Sr; and brother, Glen Zuverink

Her love, creativity, and kindness remain a testament to a life beautifully lived. Sandra's memory will be eternally cherished by all who knew her.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Sandra Elaine Bos, 81, of Cookeville will be held at 4pm, Friday, May 17, 2024 at Cookeville First United Methodist Church.

The family will welcome friends immediately before the service from 2pm until 4pm.
