Sammy Dale Sparks

Funeral services for Sammy Dale Sparks, age 54, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sand Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Sparks died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Sammy was born November 29, 1955 in Cookeville to the late Casto Sparks and Cordelia Whiteaker Sparks. He was an associate with the Dollar General Market. His family includes Three brothers: J.T. Sparks and wife Ann of New Castle OH, Elmer Lee Sparks and wife Angie of New Castle OH, and Bud Sparks of Cookeville. He is also survived by three Sisters: Bonnie Pullum and husband Ernie of Cookeville, Pauline Rippetoe and husband Harold of Cookeville, and Joyce Rogers and husband Butch of Kingston Springs TN, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by two nephews, Dennis Sparks and Jeff Rippetoe. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Bro. Steve Thornton will officiate at the services.
