Funeral services for Samuel Morgan Vaughn Jr., age 77, of Brentwood and formerly of Cookeville, will be held Sunday February 16 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. His family will receive friends Saturday from 4 - 7 p.m. and again Sunday from 12 p.m. until time of service. Sam passed away Wednesday February 12, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1942 in Cookeville, TN to the late Samuel Morgan Vaughn Sr. and Ethel Clio Vickers Vaughn. Sam attended the Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin and was a member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Vaughn's Hair Fashion. Sam was a Vietnam War veteran having served in the US Air Force. He is survived by his son, Lee Vaughn of Brentwood; daughter-in-law, Rene Vaughn of Franklin; grandchildren, McKenzie Vaughn and Tucker Vaughn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Phillips Vaughn; two brothers, James Clinton and Royce Dean Clinton. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
