Sam Arney

Samuel "SAM" Robert Arney, 60 of Cookeville, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at his home. His wishes of cremation and no service are being honored. His remains will be placed by his mother at Hatcher’s Hall Cemetery in the Taylor’s Crossroads community of Overton County, Tennessee where both sides of his family are from.

He was born January 7, 1964 at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina to the late Bobby Joe and Edith Lyndel Winningham Arney.

Sam worked in food service for many years. He was a long-time employee at Logan's Roadhouse of Cookeville, and was loved by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Lynn Easterly.

Survivors include his older Brother David, Sister-In-Law Gail, Aunt Janice Arney Hawkins, his Step-Mother Linda Buford Arney, his niece Dr. Samantha McLerran, and nephew Joseph Easterly.
