Ruth Oakley

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Aline Oakley, age 80 of Algood, will be held Wednesday August 19 at 11 a.m. at the Algood Family Event Center with Rev. Barry Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Mrs. Oakley's family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time at the Algood Family Event Center. Mrs. Oakley died Sunday morning August 16, 2015 at her home. She was born August 4, 1935 in Baxter, TN to the late Woodrow Wilson and Cora Harville Bryant. She was a retired Associate with McCord's and of the Presbyterian Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Oakley; two sisters, Christine Bryant and Linda Carter; and her brother, D. L. Bryant. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Kathy Oakley of Cookeville; three sisters, Lorene "Crickett" Pennington, Donna (Jerry) Hagen, and Helen Danner all of Cookeville; several nieces and nephews and her four very special caregivers, Debbie, Stacey, Maxine, and Ethel.
