Margaret Ruth Lyle, 93, passed away quietly on July 20, 2018 in Round Rock, Texas. Margaret Ruth Lyle was born on July 5, 1925 in Cookeville, Tennessee to parents William Patrick Morris and Daisy Bush Morris. The Morris Family brought the first Catholic church to Cookeville, holding services in their home before the St. Thomas Aquinas Church was built. Margaret Ruth Lyle graduated from Jere Whitson High School. She married Robert Anderson Lyle in 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee. Deceased brothers and sisters are Paul Morris, Bill Morris, James H. Morris, Pat Morris, Lucille Morris Snow, and Mildred Morris Sims. Surviving family members are children Patricia A. Lyle and husband Dr. Robert H. Badgley of Round Rock, Texas, grandchildren Noah J. Steffan, Zachary L. Steffan (Meredith), and Luke L. Steffan; Mary Widerski and husband Brian Widerski of Bernardsville, New Jersey, grandchildren Whitney Chenoweth and Rachael Lyle; nieces Becky Gunnels (Peyton), Sherry Hilton and nephews Bill Love (Roberta) and Tommy Love (Rose). Mrs. Lyle's family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday, July 26th at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Nashville. Deacon Mike Wilken will officiate. Margaret Ruth Lyle often said: "Now lock your doors," to almost anyone who visited her, and was happiest when helping small children, her true love. Blessed with a long life, she enjoyed quilting, playing Bridge, and giving her love to everyone she met. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
