Ruth Keisler

Funeral services for Ruth Keisler, 89 of Baxter will be Monday, September 2 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Mausoleum. Jimmy Benson, her brother-in-law will officiate. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 8 PM and after 11 AM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Keisler died Friday night, August 30, 2019 at her home. She was born December 21, 1929 in Baxter to the late Pennock and Josephine Hall Maxwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly Frank, an infant daughter, sisters June Lee Maxwell and Judy Benson. She was a retired City Clerk for the Town of Baxter, TN. She attended Baxter Seminary. Survivors include husband Otis "BUD" Keisler of Baxter, daughters and sons-in-law Margie and Jack Pirtle of Nashville, Vickie and Ray Brown of Cookeville, Cheryl Keisler of Hermitage, son-in-law Clyde Frank of Conyers, GA. sister Carole Lynch of Nashville, brothers and sisters-in-law Dan and Betty Maxwell of Baxter, Bob and Onelia Maxwell of Cookeville, Larry and Barbara Maxwell of LaVergne, TN, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Charlie Keisler and Evelyn of Powell, Tn., brother-in-law Jimmy Benson of Cummings, GA.
