Ruth Cranston

Private interment services for Mrs. Ruth Althea Nettleton Cranston, age 94 of Cookeville, will be held at Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, Illinois. Mrs. Cranston died Tuesday morning April 28, 2015 in NHC of Cookeville. She was born January 23, 1921 in Blaine, Illinois to the late Clarence and Mary Warne Nettleton. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church, VFW and American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies of the Moose all in Belvidere. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Cranston (who died March 24, 2005); two sisters, Edna Nettleton and Ruby Weedenhoff, and three brothers, Clarence Nettleton, Bill Nettleton and Earl Nettleton. Ruth was loved and will be missed by her children, Carol Ann (Raymond) Benton of Emmet, Idaho and Jean (Donald) Pollock of Cookeville; son-in-law, David Procter of Jefferson City, MO; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
