Funeral Services for Ruby Lee Massa, age 93, of Baxter, will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Boiling Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, November 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Mrs. Massa passed away Monday morning, October 31, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born November 27, 1917 in Dekalb County TN to the late Bill Pullum and Nancy Goff Pullum. Ruby was a homemaker that really made her home. She was famous for her Chocolate Pies, Peanut Butter Balls, Jams and Jellies. Her home was pleasant and enjoyable, and everyone felt welcome when they visited her. Ruby was effortlessly optimistic, and always looked for the best in everyone. She was a member of the Boiling Springs Baptist Church and loved her church family. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Rowena (Albert Bill) Nash and her son Lloyd Lillard Massa both of Baxter; three sisters Mattie McCloud and Opal Coffman both of Michigan and Beverly Jo Harp of Sparta. She is also survived by two brothers Ed Pullum of Michigan and Jay Pullum of Sparta. She was grandma to eight grandchildren; Perry (Kim) Nash, Ross (Tonya) Nash, Dianne (Chris) Peterson, Eric (Charlotte) Massa, Annette Massa, Cindy (Chuck) Poole, Ginger Massa and Darlene Gang. She is also survived by fourteen Great Grandchildren and four Great-Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will include Ross, Perry, Ryan and Daniel Nash, Eric and Michael Massa, Zack Ballard and Rex Jarvis. In addition to her parents Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Massa, a son, Dillard Massa, a grandson, Alan Massa and a sister, Ada Massa. Bro. Tracy Gross and Bro.
