Roy Denton Lewis, 74 of Silver Point, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. His wishes of cremation were honored and a memorial service is being planned for a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery. He was born December 13, 1946 in Baxter to the late Cleveland and Mae Elmore Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 infant sisters, Florence Anna Lewis and Mary Virginia Lewis; brothers, Jake, Joe, N.C. and Jim Lewis. He was a graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. Roy was a Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed 4-Wheeling, riding his Harley-Davidson, University of Tennessee Football and playing softball. He is survived by a daughter, Melissia Lee Lewis of Cookeville; granddaughters, Cassie Lee Kerr and Samantha Jean Kerr, numerous nieces and nephews.
