Roxie Gerber

Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Roxie Gerber, age 79, of Algood, will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Overton County. Bro. AJ Looper will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. Mrs. Gerber passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 29, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gerber was born September 20, 1936 in Overton County, TN to the late Henry and Dolly Bilbrey Copeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Phillips; brother, Howard Bilbrey; and her former husband LJ Looper. She formerly worked for Ely & Walker Shirt Company in Monterey. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Norman Gerber (whom she married August 8, 1985 in Chattanooga, TN); two sons and daughter-in-laws, Danny and Sherry Looper of Cookeville, David and Jody Looper of Mt. Juliet; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Wanda Meador of Brentwood, TN, Beverly and Jeff Bolen of Tuscaloosa, AL, Swanee and Jim Ellis of Lexington, KY, Debbie and Ricky Bohannon of Cookeville, Sarah and Kevin Davis of Cookeville; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Anita.
