Roscoe M. Mahan

Funeral Services for Mr. Roscoe Morse Mahan, age 82, formerly of Cookeville, will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home in Cookeville. Entombment with military honors will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Mahan passed on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in California where he had been living with his family since 2013. He was born December 29, 1934 in Cookeville to the late Fred Mahan and Grace Myers Mahan. Mr. Mahan proudly served his country as an US Army Veteran. He was also an avid history and antique car enthusiast. He is survived by his daughter, Denise (husband John) Turner of Santa Clarita; CA; three siblings, Mack Mahan, Mattie Jean Shumaker, and Sina Sue Pinkerton; four grandchildren, Sarah Ashley (husband Stephen) Shirey, Abby (husband Sean) Padden, Jared Turner, and Drew Turner all of Santa Clarita, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jared Mahan and his son, David Mahan. Bro. Clarence Jared will officiate the service.
