Ronald W. Sawicki

Funeral Services for Ronald William Sawicki, age 68 of Sparta, will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, August 9, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday evening, August 10, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Sawicki passed away while working on his treasured boat on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his home. He was born July 28, 1943 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late William Sawicki and Mildred Kieras Sawicki. Originally from Jersey City NJ, Ron also lived for many years in the Toms River, NJ area. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and worked for many years at Landmark International in Cookeville TN. Besides enjoying his boat, Ron immersed himself and those he conversed with in 20th century history, economics and politics. Ron is survived by his daughter Jil and her husband Paul Rimbeck of NJ, his sister Lorraine and her husband Robert Lynch, two grandchildren Emma and Samuel, two nieces, a nephew, and seven grandnieces and grandnephews. He is also survived by many friends and loved ones in Florida, Tennessee and New Jersey, including his special companion of many years, Jane Grant of Cookeville and his dedicated secretary, Barbara Shanks. Mr. Sawicki was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Ree Susan.
