Roberta Key

Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta Ward Key, age 91 will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, at Horner Funeral Home in Monterey. Pastor Darrell Key will officiate. Interment will follow in Welch Memorial Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Key passed away Wednesday November 6, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 10, 1928 in Smith County, TN to the late Robert 'Bob" and Laura Harville Overstreet. Mrs. Key was a member of Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing at church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Woody Key; brother, Frank Overstreet; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Key. She is survived by seven sons, Sam (Toni) Key, Kenneth (Donna) Key, Robert Key, Paul Key, Tommy (Tammy) Key, Gary Wayne (Marsha) Key and Randall (Rose) Key; four daughters, Carolyn (James) Humphries, Cathy (Carl) Smith, Jeanette (Roy) Greenwood, and Jo Ann (Thomas) Light; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
