Robert Netherton

COOKEVILLE--Mr. Robert Paul Netherton, age 53, died Tuesday April 7, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Cookeville, he was born August 20, 1966 to Paul and Anna Taylor Netherton and was a 1985 graduate of Cookeville High School. Robert loved all sports, riding motorcycles and spending time with his friends and family. Robert was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Wilma and Vestel Netherton and maternal grandparents, John and Rhoda Taylor. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Stacey Shofner Netherton; sons, Tyler (Tori) Netherton of Cookeville; Caleb Netherton of Clarksville; daughters, Megan (Bart) Smith of Union Hill, TN, Lindsey (Dustin) Kennedy of North Springs and Mackenzie (Brooks) Comer of Gamaliel, KY; grandchildren, Paislee, Aubree, Kori, Ima, Josie, Waylon, Bayless, Jack, Clay and Dank; sisters, Trish (Mike) Giaimo and Jenny (Troy) Furton, all of Cookeville; and by nieces and nephews, Lauren, Haylee and Gage. A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held as soon as restrictions from Covid 19 are lifted. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111.
