Robert Kerr

A Memorial service for Mr. Robert Hilrey Kerr (Bobby), age 69 of Ashland City, Tennessee, formerly of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana and Cookeville, Tennessee will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15 at Hooper, Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. His family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Bobby died peacefully, with family by his side, Wednesday, November 17, 2022 at Ascension St. Thomas Specialty Select Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bobby was born on August 8, 1953 to the late Nina and Robert Joel Kerr. Bobby attended Putnam County Senior High School in Cookeville.

Bobby retired in 2016 from Krispy Kreme and moved back to Tennessee to be close to family and friends. Bobby had a strong work ethic throughout his life, working for Shoney’s for over 20 years and after that, Bunny Bread and Krispy Kreme. He will be remembered for his friendship and warm heart.

Bobby is preceded in death by his special friend and partner of 30 years Elizabeth (Liz) Henson; sister (Shirley Jo (Norman) Black; nephew, Michael Black. Bobby is survived by sister, Patsy (Mack) Fulton of Nashville; nephew, Chris (Traci) Black of Knoxville; 2 nieces, Tonya (Jeff) Glass of Whitebluff; and Brandy Heskett of Dickson, Tennessee.
