Robert Hutcheson

Robert Sherwood "Hutch" Hutcheson, age 64 of Cookeville, passed away Saturday February 12, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born October 18, 1957 in Cookeville, TN to the late Robert Sherwood Sr. and Frieda Conway Hutcheson. Hutch graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1981 with a degree in mechanical engineering. His career as a mechanical engineer with the US Navy spanned over 30 years. He also was a member of the Maryland National Army Guard. Hutch was active supporter for the Boy Scouts, where he regularly served as counselor at the Boxwell Reservation camps. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anna Sells Hutcheson, whom he married December 27, 1982; son, Thomas (Nicole) Hutcheson of New Oxford, PA; daughter, Leanne (Robert) Pippin and their son, Eirnin Pippin of Cookeville; brothers, John Hutcheson of Elkton, MD and Rob Hutcheson of Betterton, MD; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sisters, Effie Blackburn. Visitation for friends and family will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday February 18 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. A private graveside with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Smyrna Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate.
