Robert Huddleston

April 24, 1963 — July 16, 2024

Robert Benson Huddleston, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Robert was born on April 24, 1963, in Orange County, California, and brought joy, laughter, and adventure to those around him throughout his 61 years of life.

Robert's journey began as the beloved son of Marvin Huddleston and Donna Stranahan Huddleston, who preceded him in death. He was the loving husband of Carolyn, with whom he built a life rich in mutual respect, laughter, and shared dreams. He is also survived by two children, Lando McCormick and Michelle Castle (married to Chris); and three grandchildren, Lucas and Wyatt McCormick, and Caden Castle.

Robert's dedication to his family was matched by his commitment to his work. He spent 15 years caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at local nursing homes, where his compassion and kindness left a lasting impact on both colleagues and residents. He then went on to manage a Burger King for 15 years, demonstrating strong leadership and an unwavering work ethic. Robert eventually retired from Olive Garden, where he had spent 14 years perfecting his culinary skills as a cook.

Robert's interests spanned from the simple joy of movies to the thrill engaging in sports and games with his beloved grandchildren. His sense of adventure and his funny and loving nature made every gathering memorable.

A memorial gathering is being planned for a later date for friends and family.

Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111 Share condolences and memories at www.hhhfunerals.com
