Robert Hester

Memorial services for Mr. Robert Leo Hester Jr., age 55, of Livingston, at 6 p.m. Tuesday November 21 at Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Cross officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Hester passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born July 16, 1962 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Robert Leo Hester and Gloria Jean Rupple Hester of Cookeville. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ervin and Lucille Neu Rupple. Robert was a truck driver for most of his professional life and was affectionately known by his CB handle, 'Crazy.' While driving, he saw all 48 contiguous states and every Canadian province. He also held jobs as a welder and fabricator at Bennett Industries in Cookeville and was a delivery driver for Potter's Kashway in Cookeville. He had a love for tinkering, all things mechanical, and carpentry, and often could be found helping family, friends, and neighbors when they got in over their heads on a project. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Angela Maxwell Hester, who he married July 27, 1990 in Livingston; two sons, Robert Hester III (wife, Ana) of Woodbridge, VA, Andrew Hester (Brittany) of Daytona, FL; daughter, Melissa Hester of Jackson County, TN; step-son, Lyndon Johnson (wife, Anna) of Hilham, TN; brother, Clint Hester of Cookeville; four sisters, Tammy Stickdorn (husband, Tim) of Rockledge, FL, Carrie Gilliam (husband, Jim) of Maysville, KY, Stephanie Smith of Cookeville, Kim Kellum (husband, Johnny) of Cookeville; seven grandchildren, Nicolas and Gabriel Hester, Jacob Hester, Willow and Valentina Hester, Isaiah and Elijah Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Billy Joe and Villa Maxwell; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
