Robert Edwin Stewart

Robert Edwin Stewart, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born on March 17, 1952, in Detroit, MI, Robert's life and musical skills brought joy to those around him.

Throughout his life, he was a father to his children, Christy (Lynn) Dunn, Tracy (Crystal) Stewart, and Kelsey (Danny Roqueplot) Stewart. He instilled his love of music to all his family, including his grandchildren, Shardah, Justin, Nikki, Brooklyn, Christopher, Ben, Eli, and Baylee, and also his great grandchildren, Cloe, Isaac, Trent, Cayde, and Gracie, who will cherish the musical memories he shared.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Dawson Stewart, his mother, Pearl Stewart, his son, Kason Stewart, his significant other, Shawn (Teeny) McPherson, and his four-legged companion, Bert. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of the ones who knew him, his spirit will live on in the songs he wrote and sang.

Robert's life was a journey of love for his family and music. He was a friend to many. His passing is not just a loss but a reminder to keep the music playing.

As we say goodbye to, Robert Edwin Stewart, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man who was loved. His memory will be held in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his music. Rest in peace Robert (Papaw to his grandchildren); your music will continue to inspire us.

The family has chosen cremation per his wishes, no services planned.
