Robert Dawes

Private graveside services for Mr. Robert Alan Dawes of Potwin, Kansas will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 9th at Nash Cemetery. Rev. Jim Rogers will officiate. Robert was born June 10, 1958 in Washington DC. He passed away quietly on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Golden Living Center in El Dorado, Kansas with his family and hospice by his side. He was 58 years old. Robert was an excellent carpenter and worked as an assistant manager for Walmart in Kansas. He loved the outdoors, hunting and especially fishing. He also loved to read and was a talented artist. Robert is survived by his wife of 28 years, JoDee of Potwin; son, Donald of North Carolina, son Solon of Potwin, daughter, Cynthia of Scott City, KS, son, Bobby of El Dorado, KS; mother, Wilodene Nash Dawes of Cookeville, brother Gary (Mary) Dawes of Hendersonville, TN, sister, Lisa (Kevin) Palmer of Valley Forge, PA, brother, Erik (Kimberly) Dawes of Robbinsville, NJ and four nephews: Brian Dawes (Galveston, TX), Kyle Dawes (Hendersonville), Mark Dawes (Robbinsville, NJ) and Jake Dawes (Robbinsville). He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Robert Dawes; grandparents, Solon & Irene Nash and grandmother, Marie Dawes Ort. He will be missed very much.
