BAXTER-A Mass of Christian burial for Robert "Bob" Thomas Haugk, 70 of Silver Point, will be held Saturday, June 11 at 1 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, June 10 from 5 to 8 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home and at the church from 12:30 PM until service time. Father Jerry Kopel will be the officiant. Mr. Haugk died Wednesday morning, June 8, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 4, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Jack and Joanette "Jo" Marie Heminger Haugk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Bobby Simmons, brother, Rick "Toad" Haugk and a infant brother, Donnie Haugk. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Bob was a carpenter, he worked with Haugk & Simmons Construction Co., he also had worked at Norwalk and Dacco in Cookeville. He was a outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include wife of 47 years (Married January 3, 1975) Janice Brown Haugk of Silver Point; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jason Rodgers; grandson, Korbin Rodgers all of Silver Point; sisters, Karen (Jim) Menke of Greenwood, IN, Joyce (Tim) Overholt of Chesapeake, VA; sister-in-law, Linda Haugk of Baxter; brothers, Jim (Ellen) Haugk of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jack (Diana) Haugk of Bloomfield Hills, MI; a host of nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Danny, Tommy and Randy Simmons, Dave Haugk, Bill Waller and Bob Grimes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Simmons, Jamie Brown, Brad and Matt Haugk. Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (931)858-2134.
