Robert "Bob" Buddy West

Funeral Services for Robert “Bob” Buddy West, age 73, of Cookeville will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Bob died Thursday April 14, 2011at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born June 26, 1937 in Putnam County, TN to the late Bernice West and Emolene Davis West. Bob served our country in the States Air Force serving in both Korea and Vietnam, Following his twenty year in the Air Force he came back to Cookeville and went to work at and retired from Flowserve after twenty seven years there. Bob was a Christian, he loved gardening, and was a Nascar Fan. Mr. West is survived by his wife Gwen West, two sons Teral (Jenni) West and Kenneth (Hollena) West both of Cookeville. He is also survived by a brother Carlos (Mary) West of Sparta and three sisters Pat West Raymer, Linda West and Peggy (John Bill) Rittenberry all of Cookeville and five grandchildren Chelsea, Jordan, Savannah, Tanner, and Gavin West. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Sherry West. Pallbearers will be Dale Moss, Keith Taylor, Morgan McHenry, Herman Brady, Shirley Denson, and Glen Mayberry. Bro.
